In the 9/19 USA Today (based in McLean VIRGINIA), Gov. Bill Owens rebutts a house editorial that supports the idea of all states awarding electoral votes as 36 would do in Colorado. Just as with Dr. de Alva et al, this is another example of a party outside of Colorado wanting the voters in our state to make a sacrifice for their cause.

And we would be remiss if we did not recognize the significant contribution by the blogosphere towards educating Colorado about 36 . 86 Amendment 36 has been getting the word out since August. Information and links to blogs that oppose 36 from both the left and the right can be found there.

A note regarding letters to newspapers editors

Many campaign websites make it very simple for individuals to send letters to many newspapers at once by simply clicking a few buttons. The fact is, these identical form letters that arrive en masse do not get printed nor do they influence editors to take a particular stand (this comes directly from editors).

We encourage people to share their uniquely stated opinions. Here is a list of Colorado Newspapers for anyone who feels so inclined.
